* Decision types - when a Code of Conduct complaint is raised, the Monitoring Officer will conduct an assessment of that complaint and will reach a decision which is then communicated to the Complainant, the Subject Member (the Councillor against whom the complaint is made) and the Clerk of the Parish or Town Council involved. This is called the Assessment Decision (A above). Depending on the details within that Assessment Decision, either the Complainant or the Subject Member is able to ask for that Assessment Decision to be reviewed. The result of that review is called the Review Decision (R above) and is the final decision in the process.
